It’s all getting very tetchy

Have you seen this? At first glance it’s just another letter from someone in TEC (this time Bonnie Anderson who is the President of the House of Deputies of TEC – kinda like the combined houses of layity and clergy in the CofE General Synod) getting a bit stroppy about the recent Panel of Reference report on Fort Worth Diocese.

But look closer. Who was the letter written to? Well it was a private (please take note of that word) letter from Anderson to the members of the Panel that has been leaked. And who leaked it? Well how many of us are getting increasingly annoyed by how long the Panel takes to get anything done? The blame lies with Peter Carnley, who’s chairing the Panel, or someone at Lambeth Palace. It seems that the requests for the Panel to rule are simply being sidelined or ignored. Someone, somewhere in the know obviously let the letter for Anderson slip out. Lambeth Palace? There is a hardening line coming from Rowan so who knows…
Anybody got a list of which cases referred to the Panel are still outstanding? Anybody want to try and speed up the process?
