Gaudete!!!
In the piece below on Protestants and spirituality, Iconoclast brought up the example of chants and similar music evoking in themselves an engagement with God. I thought I’d share with us all the piece all that he had found particularly beautiful.
Yes, I know it’s not Christmas, but what a fantastically theologically rich hymn!!!! Wow!!! I watched this version with the words and was led to spontaneously worship Jesus for what he had done to us.
Does that make me a Charismatic or an Anglo-Catholic?
Or both?
Or neither…..
In need of this I think http://www.maddyprior.co.uk/mpcb.htm
or Sing Lustily and With Good Courage if you can find it.

When Peter writes “what he had done to us” does he mean “what he has done FOR us”, or it that just how monergists speak? ;-)
I think Peter might possibly mean both Robert….
Monergism rocks by the way.
John,
I fear that you and Iconoclast between you may just have made me into a convert to electric folk.
Of course, this has put me right off again – http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3yqOipq7VZk&feature=related
Love it! Can’t say I’m used to Latin in that accent, but it’s a terrific piece of music. Gaudete, mate!
