Aber mit der Heimat
geht man immer herum,
durch die Welt,
dort und dort
Peter Handke
No one could describe
the Word of the Father;
but when He took flesh from you, O Theotokos,
He consented to be described, and restored the fallen image to its former beauty.
We confess and proclaim our salvation in word and image.
Kontakion of the Triumph of Orthodoxy
Now that the Torchwood five-day event has been and gone, what did you think about it, Peter? I assume they are trying to end it (or perhaps just Captain Jack’s part in it?) with a bang. There were some pretty awful moral dilemmas in it that the characters had to face, which I thought was interesting (although rather trying emotionally), although these dilemmas were set up at the cost of one or two rather glaring plot inconsistencies which spoilt it a bit, I think.
Lots of nice situational ethics at the end which raised huge moral dilemmas. Once again, Russell T Davies has shown he’s a master of writing good drama.
Will there be a Series 4? Can’t see how from that ending.
