Facing the Reality
Conservatives in the (Presbyterian) Church of Scotland have produced a video on the subject of human sexuality, and it’s really very good.

There is also a website where the video can be downloaded in a high-spec format or a DVD ordered.
Same old same old, with all the usual clichés.
The argument relating to women’s ordination is pretty weak. It seems basically to be “well, Paul’s practice was inconsistent with his writings, so we follow his practice. Faced with contradictory bits of the Bible, then we get to go the way we decide is best. But if the Bible isn’t contradictory, that option isn’t open to us.” (This is about 19m 30 in.) Which isn’t a great argument if you want to use the authority of Scripture as the basis for some other things you say!
As the guy says later, “Adopting a ‘pick and choose’ attitude to Scripture makes a mockery of the whole notion that the Bible has any kind of authority.” (25 minutes). He should have a conversation with the minister interviewed at 19m30 :-)
